Keighley Transport Festival 2022

Mooring for Keighley Transport Festival

Festival postponed from 2020

Inmotion – the Keighley Transport Festival 2022, was postponed twice due to Covid. It is now taking place next year on Thursday and Friday, June 2nd and 3rd, to coincide with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee holiday.

The Society will have Kennet open to the public over both days, from 10 am to 4 pm.  Kennet will be moored at the Stockbridge Wharf near to the Granby Swing Bridge.

As previously planned for the proposed Festival in 2020, activities will be taking place in locations across the whole of Keighley – the Canal, Keighley College, the Airedale Shopping Centre, Rail Story Ingrow, Keighley Civic Centre and Cliffe Castle – featuring historic trains, buses, cars, motorcycles.

The Festival exploits Keighley’s uniqueness as a centre for historic transport. Keighley is the home to a bus museum and the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway as well as historic car and motorcycle clubs and two model railway societies.

Look out for further details nearer the time.
